A message is a unit of communication exchanged between participants in a chat system, enabling real-time interaction by transmitting content such as text, images, videos, and other media. Messages are sent, received, and processed instantly, ensuring seamless communication between users, bots, or systems.
Each message is structured to include essential details such as the sender, recipient, content, timestamp, and message type. Additionally, messages can support advanced functionalities like replies, inline menus, and updates, making them a key component of modern communication platforms.
If a device is switched off, messages will be stored for up to 14 days and delivered once the device is turned back on. Additionally, a notification message will be sent to the device to wake it up for instant delivery.
For chat groups and channels, messages are retained based on the defined retention period, ensuring they remain available according to system settings.
This guarantees reliable message delivery and persistence, even when recipients are temporarily unavailable.
